I am honored that you are taking the time to get to know me. My name is Bethany Arrington. I’m a wife to a wonderful husband and a mother to two amazing kiddos. In addition to these important roles, I am a Certified Nurse Midwife who has dedicated the last 14 years of my life to being “with woman” as a midwife and prior to that a labor and delivery nurse.  My professional experience has included directing a large midwifery practice in a teaching hospital and helping to open the first freestanding hospital owned birth center in the state of South Carolina. I feel those experiences have rightly equipped me to help families achieve positive, affirming birth goals. I am excited to offer home birth and birth center services to families in Greenville, South Carolina and surrounding areas. I am also pleased to offer gynecology, wellness, and esthetic services.

The pregnancy and birth of my daughter was a really humbling experience and re-energized my love for supporting women through this journey. As a first time mother I experienced a very difficult pregnancy both emotionally and physically. This was then followed by a difficult labor and birth. The care and support I received from my fellow midwives made all the difference. As a midwife of color, I’m proud to be able to offer culturally competent holistic birth services to all women, including those that look like me.
